go bears!

Although a Minnesota native (and lover of the state at heart), I have to admit...my hubby has turned me into a Bears fan. Kurt ADORES football and watching the Bears is one of his greatest joys. My cousin also married a Bears fan(atic) and the two of them bond over their love for the team. When I was asked to photograph their cute clan of kids, I just knew it would involve some orange and navy jerseys. Sure enough - it did! Check out how cute they are!

and one on the way

Becca was my very first "mommy friend" after moving back to Winona and staying at home with my Mary. We clicked over coffee and conversation and our girls became fast friends. Every year Becca's mother in law comes to town in the fall and they get pictures with the whole crew. As I type this, there may even be one more to add to the bunch (Becca is due any day now!). Here's a quick sneak peek for you, I'll be in touch with your gallery soon!

how cool is this?

Barb came in to get some FAB pictures of her with her little Sammy sometime in August (I believe it was during my blog-break) and decided she just couldn't live without some beautiful canvas prints for her wall. She decided on 3 16x20 prints and loved them so much that she just had to show me how they looked in her house (okay, okay - I asked her to send me a pic!). Doesn't that just look awesome??? I love the grouping of 3 - great choices, Barb!

For those of you that don't know, canvas prints are a great way to show my work is a simple, but stunning way. Your picture is printed on streched canvas (1.5 inches thick) and they come ready to hang (no frame necessary). The 3-D impact of a canvas is really breathtaking. I've just ordered one for my own home (finally got some pictures of me, my hubby and the girls) and will share pics with you when it arrives. Please let me know if you have any questions about canvas or if you'd like to know more about pricing, ideas, etc.

mohawk + little boy = WAY cool!

Raychel contacted me a few weeks back to schedule some family portraits. She indicated that she didn't want any stiff poses and just wanted natural, unconventional family images. Well, when the crew showed up and little Ike was sporting a mohawk, I knew I was in for a real treat! I (heart) this family! They were so fun and casual and we just had a great time in the studio. It was wonderful meeting you and I'll be in touch with your gallery information soon!

at long last!

I've been waiting for little Carter's arrival for so long! His mom is my cousin's wife and I've been thrilled since the moment I first figured out she was expecting (mysteriously 'skipping' our volleyball league several weeks in a row! Hmmmm....I wonder why???). Carter came with mom and dad into the studio last week and after lots of lullabies and rocking - he finally fell asleep for some beautiful portraits. Jean - I hope you enjoy this little peek, I'll have the rest of your gallery done in no time.

gymboree loves averie

Averie is one stylin' two year old! I had the pleasure of shooting her 18 month pics and now her 2 year old ones. Let me tell you - she has FANTASTIC clothing. As the mother of 2 little girlies myself, I am totally checking out Averie's clothes to get ideas. I asked her mom, Elana, about the stellar threads and (as suspected) she noted that the girl was dressed head to toe in Gymboree. She has the hats, the shirts, pants, sweaters, socks, ribbons, bows - you name it! And her mom has the inside scoop on all of it! She tipped me off to this great website: http://www.gymbofriends.com/ It's basically a stomping grounds for all the mothers out there who (like Elana...like me) just can't say no to Gymboree. Pretty cool, huh?
Anyway - look below to see some great pics of the little style maven herself. Enjoy the peek Elana - I'll be in touch with your gallery information soon!

another great family

I had the pleasure of photographing Melissa and her crew this past weekend. I first met Melissa when she was a bridesmaid in one of my summer weddings and her little Maggie made the most adorable flower girl! It was so nice to meet the rest of the family - what a good lookin' group, right? Thanks for letting me capture some beautiful memories of your family - I'll be in touch soon with the rest of your gallery!
